I was asked to respond to the following question… Do you go to hell if you commit suicide? (I DO NOT SUGGEST IT. This is MY opinion/ understanding. YOUR opinion/ understanding can be mentioned on YOUR social media site. THANK YOU in advance for #respecting #MY #wall.)
The “#ONLY” unforgivable sin is #blasphemy of the #Holy #Spirit.
(Your perception of that is between YOU and GOD)
I base my response on several scriptures…
According to Mark 3:28&29 (AMP) – 28 Truly and solemnly I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever abusive and blasphemous things they utter; 29 But whoever #speaks abusively against or maliciously #misrepresents the Holy Spirit can #never get forgiveness, but is guilty of and is in the grasp of [i]an everlasting trespass.
Let’s look at it in Matthew 12:30-32 (TPT) – 30 “So join with me, for if you’re not on my side you are against me. And if you refuse to help me gather the spoils, you are making things worse. 31 This is why I warn you, for God will forgive people for every sin and blasphemy they have committed#except one. There is no forgiveness for the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. 32 If anyone speaks evil of me, the Son of Man, he can be forgiven: but if anyone contemptuously speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will never be forgiven, now or ever.”
But the above scriptures do not apply if you are not a born-again/ baptized follower of Jesus Christ. The word tells us in John 3:5 (TPT) – Jesus answered, “I speak an eternal truth: Unless you are born of water #and Spirit-wind, you will never enter the kingdom realm of God. John 3:16 (TPT) – For this is how much God loved the world – he gave his uniquely conceived Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience life. Hebrews 10:14-17 (TPT) – And by his one perfect sacrifice he made us perfectly holy and complete for all time! 15 The Holy Spirit confirms this to us by this Scripture, for the Lord says, 16 Afterwards, I will give them this covenant: I will embed my laws into their hearts And fasten my Word to their thoughts.” 17 And then he says, “I will not ever again Remember their sins and lawless deeds!”
It is important to understand that in any relationship, communication is a MUST. How can you have a relationship if you don’t speak to Abba Father? Jesus Christ? Holy Spirit? One of the main ways the God-head speaks to us is through the written word. So if you what to know what a person is about you study them… what are their likes and dislikes, what is their nature, character, temperament, etc… so my question then would be how would a person expect to know anything about God unless they study what God says? What pleases GOD? What displeases GOD? What GOD expects from me? The bible tells us in 2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP) – 15 Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. So in fact it is a requirement on our part to get to know God throughout the scriptures (His written word) if we are to have a relationship with HIM.
What God wants MOST from YOU and I is… RELATIONSHIP!!! Other ways we communicate with God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit is through Praise (Speaking, Singing and Humming words of Thanksgiving to the Father), Worship (Adoring Him Outloud; I Love You, Papa, I Need You Holy Spirit to direct me, I Bless YOU JESUS, I give you Praise, I Honor You, Lord!) Seeking after what pleases Him and in that ALL of YOUR wants and needs will be meet.
People that take their lives and ARE NOT born-again WILL LIVE IN HELL FOR ETERNITY. People that take their lives and ARE BORN-AGAIN are under an attack of the enemy and they lost the battle, #but #their #soul is NOT LOST, it was already pledged to JESUS. As we spend more and more real time with the Lord, the Holy Spirit, will speak ALL hidden (secret) things to us and the desire to want to end our lives prematurely is less likely. God has a plan and a purpose for ALL of our lives. It is NEVER His hope or intention for ANYONE to take the life HE gave #prematurely. If someone dies in what we consider “young” we must remember that person was HIS “child” first and even though we may not understand why, it is God who brings ALL things into existence and His set time, for His Purpose, that our lives one day will be no more, in this life as we know it, but our decision to accept HIS SON JESUS CHRIST or not, determines where we spend eternity… HEAVEN OR HELL. That is YOUR CHOICE. He wants that ALL would be with Him, but He will not force his plan on YOU.
We have to be built up in the Word of God ourselves, depending on another’s opinion or understanding (Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, or even respected Pastor/ Priest) of the word is not good enough. Nor can we pick and choose which scriptures sound pleasing to our ears. It is important to know and understand what the scripture is referring to before and after a verse and what the time frame and context was/ is. This was done, so that any common person would perceive by the Holy Spirit and the “scholar’s” or high and mighty would not be able to figure God out without the Spirit of God living in the inside of them.
